Katy Hawksworth

Katy comes from a farming family in the Midlands and when visiting family will be found helping out, whether it be lambing or calf feeding.

Katy has worked in Bodmin since January 2000. Originally working as a mixed vet with a large animal bias, she has been a large animal vet with Kernow Farm and Equine since it formed in 2014.

She enjoys all aspects of farm work and has interests in infectious disease control, mastitis, health planning and she also performs bull and ram fertility testing. She is a BCVA approved Johnes and BVD advisor, a DairyCo mastitis control plan deliverer and a TBAS advisor.

Out of work she enjoys walking her rescue Jack Russell Terrier in the Cornish countryside, swimming, spin classes gardening and cooking. Cakes may contain one of your five a day - beetroot and courgette chocolate cakes are a specialty!!
