EMS Placements

We welcome 4th and 5th year veterinary students to undertake EMS placements at our mixed farm and equine practice in the heart of Cornwall. Our experienced team offers hands-on exposure to a wide range of cases, from routine herd health and fertility visits to equine lameness workups, dentistry, and emergency care.

Students will gain practical skills in a supportive and educational environment, with opportunities to shadow our vets on both farm and equine calls. Whether you're looking to deepen your understanding of large animal medicine or explore rural mixed practice life, our team is committed to helping you get the most out of your placement.

To ensure students get the most out of their placement, we currently only accept 4th and 5th year veterinary students, as the nature of the work is best suited to those with a solid foundation in clinical knowledge.

While we do not provide accommodation, there are several local hotels and B&Bs in and around Bodmin that are conveniently located close to the practice, but a car would be needed in order to get to and from the practice daily and in order to get to join vets on farms or yards.
