Providing specialist veterinary knowledge required for sustainable modern agriculture
Farm consultancy services allow us to provide our clients and clients from other practices, referred to us by their veterinary surgeon, with the specialist veterinary knowledge required for sustainable modern agriculture. Providing this service at an hourly or procedure-based fee, allocates the time required for in-depth and thorough investigation of any issues you may have.
If you would like greater profitability from your herd or flock, we are happy to offer a Herd and Flock Production Analysis and a Nutritional Advisory Service. Please phone to see if we can be of help to you and your farm.
Ensuring your bull is fit and ready for breeding is a vital component of the fertility programme in place on your farm. Bulls with a conception rate of 60% = 94% of the herd calve in 9 weeks. Reduce this to 40% and only 66% of the herd calve in the same period.
Whilst infertility is rare, sub fertility is a common occurrence affecting around 20% of bulls. We recommend fertility testing as standard with vet Katy Hawksworth routinely performing bull fertility testing and semen evaluation for both our clients and those of other veterinary practices. Should you wish to find out more about testing your bull’s fertility please call and ask to speak to Katy or send us a message and she’ll get back to you asap.
